Old hardware

Intro

I like to pickup old computer equipment. That's why I decided to put pictures of some of my hardware on this page.

  • Brand: Genius
  • Model: GM-6
  • Interface: RS-232, 1200 Baud 8N1
  • Protocol: Mouse Systems, uses 5 Bytes packets.
  • Note: Can work in Microsoft mode if the left button is held down when the mouse is powered up.
  • Problems: The pointer does not move really smoothly when the mouse system protocol is used because of the packet size and baud rate.
  • Comments: One of my favorite. I still use it on one of my machines. I like it's arcane look. Also, it recalls good memories, since at school we had exactly the same model on our computers.
